Horses require the correct vitamins in there diet to ensure they are healthy and perform at the best of there ability, you may find that your horse is getting the vitamins they need in there regular feed if not there are supplements available that can give your horse those much needed missing vitamins

Vitamin A - Horses get vitamin A by converting Beta-Carotene found in green herbage, Vitamin A is also known as retinol.

Vitamin B – Your horse is usually able to find right amount of vitamin b in there daily forage.

Vitamin C – An important vitamin that is often needed to be added for competition horses as large amounts of exercise is said to reduce the horse ability to synthesize vitamin C

Vitamin D – A deficiency in vitamin D can affect your horse by giving them rickets, your horse will produce vitamin D with exposure from sunlight, if you have a horse that spends a lot of time in the stable, a supplement may be considered.

Vitamin E – This is needed to ensure your horse has a healthy immune system, low levels of Vitamin E can cause white muscle disease. It is reported that high levels of Vitamin E can increase in your horses calmness.

Vitamin H – An important vitamin that helps strengthen your horses hoof, Vitamin H is also known as Biotin, if your horse suffers from cracked hoofs or weak hoofs adding a Vitamin H supplement to your horses feed may help reduce these problems.

Vitamin K – Used in the blood clotting process, most horses naturally have enough Vitamin K, if your horse has thin blood when injured, this may indicate a Vitamin K deficiency.
